Music

Music is a vibrant subject in our school. We provide a whole school approach to the music curriculum with clear progressions from class to class, covering each of the curriculum strands. Our school uses Dabbledoo, the fully interactive music programme for schools, to enhance engagement and learning in music.

All classes engage in singing, listening, composing and performing at every opportunity. The boys in 2 nd – 6 th Class learn to play the tin whistle. Classes are invited to showcase their musical talents regularly at assembly.

Our school choir is made up of 60 boys in 3 rd and 4 th Class. We participate in Laudate, a liturgical music programme for schools, and continue to learn a vast selection of sacred and secular music. You might hear us at the annual carol service and other school events, or at one of our outdoor concerts!
