Our 4th and 6th Classes were lucky enough to receive a visit from local artist, Robert Shaw last week. Robert spoke to the classes about his career and the locality.
He has been professionally producing art for 20 years now. He particularly enjoys plein aer painting and his works includes lots of beautiful local landscapes including one of the cliff walk between Donabate and Portrane.
Some of his work is inspired by Harry Clarke who’s stained glass windows can be seen in St Patrick’s Church, Donabate. More info can be found on Robert’s website www.robertshaw.ie .
Many thanks to Robert for volunteering his time. The children thoroughly enjoyed his interesting talk!
