This coming Friday the 16th April we will celebrate Friendship Day in school. This is part of a bigger student wellbeing initiative which we saw us teaching a programme called “Weaving Wellbeing” to classes from 2nd to 6th before Christmas.
On Friendship Day we take some time to talk about our friends and what it means to be a good friend. One of the exercises we do helps us ensure that as we move forward into a new school year, we try and keep friends together. This will help us in the event of having to reorganise classes.
I would ask you to talk to your son about Friendship Day. It is an important occasion because friends are an important part of our life. This special day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate all the friends in our life.
Also on Friday, we will be celebrating the hard work of the children in their first week back by having a self-care afternoon. The boys can bring in a special treat for the afternoon if they would like to and there will be games and activities for the boys to enjoy.
